The first step when creating stop motion is coming up with an idea.
Now that you have an idea you can go into the production stage. This is where you take every picture needed to create the animation. First set the camera at the starting position. Press the shutter button and tell your subject to start drawing. Wait until the picture has been taken. Then move the camera slightly to the left and repeat the steps.
After you are done taking all the pictures we can go into post production. You will need a video editing software such as After Effects or Final Cut Pro. First we are going to download all the pictures to a computer.
Next you will import the pictures to the video editing software of your choice. You will need to assemble the photos to play one after another in the timeline in the order they were shot.
The final step is to export your video.
